మనిషి నాగటి పోటుతో భూమిని గాయపరుస్తాడు
ఐనా.. భూదేవి రక్తసిక్త శరీరంతో మనిషిని గుండెకు హత్తుకుని
ప్రతిగా .. మాతృమూర్తియై నోటికి ఆహారాన్ని అందిస్తుంది
భూమి తల్లి .. భూమి దేవత .. భూమి కారుణ్య .. భూమి ఒక లాలించే ఒడి
సరస్సులనూ, తటాకాలనూ, నదులనూ, ఆనకట్టలనూ
చివరికి సముద్రాలను కూడా మోస్తున్నది భూమేకదా
ఈ పవిత్ర భూమితో .. మట్టితో .. మట్టి ఆత్మతో
యుగయుగాల అనుబంధం మన తెలంగాణా బిడ్దకు
తరతరాల ‘ తల్లి, బిడ్డ ’ బంధం మనది
1955 నుండి 1967 వరకు .. ప్రపంచంలోనే అతిపెద్ద, పొడవైన , ఎతైన
మానవ నిర్మిత రాతి డ్యాం ‘ నాగార్జున సాగరాన్ని ’ నిర్మించిందెవరు
మనం .. తెలంగాణావాళ్ళమే కదా
కుడి ఎడమ కాలువలు .. బాహువులుగా
కుడి ఎడమ కళ్ళు .. జలనేత్రాలు.. శ్రీశైలం, సాగరంగా
వర్థిల్లి .. ఇప్పుడు
ప్రళయ జలోద్ధిత శివతాండవ జగత్‌ నృత్య మహార్ణవ ద్వారాలను తెరిచిందెవరు
మనమే .. తెలంగాణీయులం
మహా కాళేశ్వరం .. మహారుద్ర జలక్షేత్రం
సంగమ .. సంలీన.. సమన్వయచ్ఛటతో ఉదక విస్ఫోట వైభవం
నీటి పుట్టుక .. నీటి విస్తరణ .. నీటి వ్యాప్తి.. నీటి ఆశీస్సు
తెలుసు ఈ నేల మూలవాసులకు
పాదాలపై ప్రణమిల్లి తల్లిని ప్రార్థించగానే
ఆశీర్వదించే చేతివలె
ఒక ఏరు పారుతుంది జలోధృత ధారై
ఇక చేతులు చాచి పిలిచేది తల్లి భూమాతేకదా
ఏరు పాయై, పాయ వాగై, వాగు వంకై
వంక జలపాతమై , జలపాతం ఒక నదై
ప్రజ్వలించే నది నేలకు లక్షల ఎకరాలను శోభింపజేసే జలాభరణమై
ఒక మేడిగడ్డ , ఒక అన్నారం , ఒక సుందిళ్ల, ఒక ఎల్లంపల్లి.. ఒక మానేరు
పేర్లు ఏవైతేనేమి .. భూమి ఒక్కటే
నీరు మట్టిని తడుపుతున్నపుడు .. ఆత్మ వికసన ఒక్కటే
లక్షల ఎకరాల పంటలను లక్ష్యిస్తున్నపుడు
ఇక్కడి మనుషులు
సమూహాలు సమూహాలుగా .. ఇంజనీర్లయి, టెక్నీషియన్లయి
రూపశిల్పులై, కూలీలై, కార్మికులై
చెమటతో తడుస్తూ వేలమంది శ్రామికులై
మనుషులే రాత్రింబవళ్లు కాలాన్ని తాగుతూ
బ్యారేజ్‌ లౌతారు, రిజర్వాయర్లౌతారు, కాలువలౌతారు
సర్జ్‌ ట్యాంక్‌ లౌతారు, పెన్‌ స్టాక్‌ లౌతారు, ఎత్తిపోత ప్రవాహాలౌతారు
పంపుగా, మోటార్లుగా, పవర్‌హౌజ్‌లుగా
విద్యుత్తును ధరించిన మిలియన్ల మెగావాట్లుగా
మట్టి మనుషులు వెలుగులు చిమ్ముతున్న కాంతిపుంజాలౌతారు –
ఇక్కడ మానవులందరూ ఒకటే
ఒకరి పేరు ముఖ్యమంత్రి , మరొకరు మంత్రి
ఒకరు ఛీఫ్‌ ఇంజనీర్‌ , ఇంకొకరు వెల్డర్‌
ఇతను ఫిట్టర్‌, అతను కార్పెంటర్‌, వీడు డ్రైవర్‌.. వాడు కట్టర్‌
వెరసి అందరూ మహామానవులు
కాళేశ్వరంలో ఇప్పుడు జరుగుతున్నది మహాజలయజ్ఞం
ఇప్పుడు కమండలంలోకి
గోదావరి నదిని ఆవాహన చేస్తున్నారు భూమిపుత్రులు
తల్లి తప్పక వస్తుంది ఆశీర్వదిస్తున్న ఆకాశంవలె
ఈ మహాయాగం దేశంలో ప్రథమం.. నూతనం.. విశిష్ఠం
ప్రకృతిని శాసించి కాదు
ప్రకృతితో స్నేహించి , అర్థించి, ఆశ్రయించి
ధరిత్రి చరిత్రను పునర్లిఖిస్తున్న సందర్భమిది
మహాజలార్ణవం .. మహా జలజీవవైభవం
మహోత్తుంగ తరంగ తేజ విస్ఫోటనం
జలాభిషిక్తయైన భూమాత శోభిత ఋతుతురీయమిది
శివ పదఘట్టనతో , తాండవ నర్తనతో
ఈ జలాలయం ఒక సత్యమై.. ఒక సజీవ స్వప్నమై
వర్థిల్లే మహాకాళేశ్వరమా
నువ్వు రేపటి మహత్తువు .. రేపటి శరత్తువు .. భవిష్యత్‌ జగత్తువు
మనిషీ, మట్టీ, నీరూ .. కలెగలిసిన మహా మానవ వర్చస్సువు నువ్వు
తెలంగాణాకు మాతృదేవతవు నువ్వు –

( 29-02-2018 న ‘ కాళేశ్వరం ప్రాజెక్ట్‌ ’ అని వ్యవహరించబడ్తున్న , భారతదేశంలోనే అపూర్వమైన మానవ నిర్మిత మహాజనిధి ఎనిమిది ప్యాకేజ్‌ తో ఇరవై ఐదువేలమంది ప్రజలు రాత్రింబవళ్ళు నిమగ్నమై ఒక మానవ సమూహంగా ఐక్యతతో పని చేస్తున్న మహత్తర సందర్భాన్ని నేను ఒక వరిష్ఠ ఇంజనీర్‌ గా ప్రత్యక్షంగా చూచి పరవశించి పులకించిన క్షణం .. ఈ కవిత )

An Abode of Water

Man hurts the land with plough
even then blood tainted Goddess earth hugs the man
rewards him with food like his mother.
Mother-earth Mother-Goddess, Mother with pity
the earth consoles on her lap,
lakes, tanks, rivers and dams
even the seas are borne by earth only!
With this holy earth, the land and the soul of earth
our Telangana children have long bondage over the years
from 1955 to 1967.
This is the largest, highest and biggest
Man-made mason dam?
Who built Nagarjunasagar?
We, the Telanganites
Right and left canals as its arms
Srisailam and Sagar, the watery eyes
prospering left and right eyes.
Now,
who opened the doors vibrating with this worldly
dance form of Sivatandava during catastrophes?
We Telaanganites.
Mahakaleswar, Ma Rudra jalakshetra
merging, coordinating water flows with grandeur
The birth of water. The expansion and blessings
the people born with roots know it.
One canal moves with forced water flow
as if a blessing hand
when prostrated on mother’s feet
it is the mother earth which invites with her golden hands.
The rivulet-branch of a river-branch of hill stream
water course, water falls, water fall turning as river
the river which vibrates.
It is a water ornament glorifying lacks of acres
a Medigadda, an Annaram,
a Sundilla, an Yellampally, a Maneru.
What’s there in a name?
Land is the same.
The glory of soul is same
the water sprinkles the earth
for the cultivation of lacks of acres.
the people here work in groups
as engineers, technicians
artists, labourers and coolies.
People swallowing day and night
as sweating labourers
barrages, reservoirs, streams
surge tanks, pen stacks and lift irrigations
pumps, motors and power houses
bearing millions of megawatts of energy
all people are same.
A Chief Minister, a minister
a chief engineer, a welder,
a fitter, a carpenter,
a driver and a cutter,
all are men in all.
It is the performance of ‘Jalayagna’ at Kaleswaram
the sons of earth condensing
Godavari River into their cruise.
Definitely the Mother arrives
in the form of sky blessing
it is for the first time, new and special,
a grand ‘Yagna’ performed in the country.
It is not commanding the nature, but
making friendship, urging and taking shelter,
it is rewriting the history of earth.
Complete sea of water
wonderful glory of holy water
the explosion of heavy tides
it is braid of seasonal beautification
mother earth bathing in water
with the dance of Lord Siva
and his movement heavy feet
the river becomes a true happening
a dream coming true
Oh! Mahakaleswar! Hail thee!
you are the future glory
you are the spring of tomorrow
you are the world’s future.
You are the combination of
the man, earth and water.
You are the Mother Goddess of Telangana.
